Artist Stephanie Grace Salomons
Intuitive Painter and Truth Lover
Edinburgh, Scotland.
Edinburgh based nature artist. I have been drawing since I was 2 years old. I could express myself in art before I could express myself in words, and art continues to be my go to for self expression. Language only gets me so far.
I have named my art business Graceful Art in honour of my mum, Grace. As it is also a family name, including mine, passed down from generation to generation I wanted to honour the creative women in my ancestry, especially my grandmother whose painting style I can see in my own work.
I create without expectation, and yet with intention. I believe art is medicine and have often used art as a healing method for myself; my painted prayers and soul paintings have helped me through periods of extreme emotion. In order to create, I need to be open to what I feel and let it flow through me.
My daily creative practice is something I need as part of my life - just like water is for the body, so my art is for my spirit.
Inspiration comes in many forms; from colour, smells, ideas landing during the night and of course, the natural world. To reflect, even in a small way, the beauty of the natural world in my art is an honour and a joy.
If you want to discuss any works you wish to commission, or to send me a picture you want painted, please get in touch.
For a full list of my artistic training and experience, please see my CV.
